Muscle and Joint Pain
The most common cause of joint and muscle pain is a disease called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Most of the patients suffering from SLE experience muscle and joint pains during course of the illness.
The pain is mainly caused by the inflammation of joints and muscles. Sometimes the symptoms resemble that of viral flu, as an acute pain in joints and muscles can make someone feel really sick. The symptoms at times may resemble those of arthritis, as the joints, which have an aching pain also, get swollen and become tender. In some patients the joint pain might not be so acute, but intense muscle inflammation may result in loss of strength.
Sometimes, joint and muscle pains precede SLE. In some extreme cases, a person may feel joint and muscle pain even at rest. Most of the patients suffering from muscle and joint pain are advised by doctors to have the right mix of rest and exercise. They have to be extremely careful while doing any activity, so that they do not put additional stress on already-affected muscles and joints.

Back Muscle Exercises
Back muscle exercises are necessary to prevent recurring back problems. As the discs lose their natural shape, it stresses muscles in an unusual way, causing some muscles to be overworked while others deteriorate from non use.
But if you have low back pain, building up the back muscles will do little to alleviate the pain. Although the strengthening and increased mass will help a little in kepping the back from getting worse, you are really just building muscle around the problem.
Before you do back muscle exercises, you should first take care of the root of the pain. Bad alignment caused by misshaped disc. That condition is very easy to correct with a combination of extension and flexing exercise and some mild inversion.

Causes
Back pain can be a terrible condition to have to live with, especially when nothing seems to give relief. The first step in treating your back pain is to diagnose the cause of it.
Typically, back pain occurs in two areas, either upper or lower back pain. Many conditions can cause pain in either the upper or the lower back, including injury such as bruising of the soft tissue, muscle pulls, muscle spasms, muscle stiffness, muscle strain or tearing, muscle tension, pinched nerves, sprains, strains, or ligament tearing. When such injuries occur, it is important to see a doctor in order to form a plan for proper treatment.
Other conditions or disorders are made easier to diagnose by the fact that they tend to cause pain in specific areas of the back. Sciatica and Sacroiliac joint dysfunction tend to cause pain in the lower back and hip area. Piriformis Syndrome causes pain in the buttocks area. Pregnancy related back pain typically occurs in the mid to lower back.

Stop Muscle Soreness
Understanding muscle soreness can help you understand how to treat it. Muscle soreness is caused by microscopic muscle or connective tissue tears. The old saying "you gotta crack a few eggs to make a cake" applies here. These tears are important to the overall growth of the muscle. No tears, no muscle growth. Unfortunately, tears mean muscle pain.

How to Treat Muscle Soreness

Even though there is no way to prevent soreness, you can treat it and lessen, or totally get rid of, the pain. Here are some ways you can gain muscle fast and still feel great:

• Take a dip in the Jacuzzi or spend a few minutes in the steam room right after your weightlifting session. Heat on the muscles has been found to lessen the soreness in muscles the next day.
• Take an anti-inflammatory pill like ibuprofen. This will take away the pain and may help to lessen the swelling of the muscle.
